Our innovation

Torayfan® 8 F10 is a clear asymmetric polypropylene (BOPP) film with one treated side designed to meet the needs of the bitumen waterproofing membrane roofing.

Torayfan® 8 F10 for bituminous membranes

Toray engineered this film to optimize the unwinding process of the flexible membrane during installation.
It is also suitable for board lamination.

The Torayfan® 8 F10 has two main characteristics:
• On one side, it shows a strong direct and lasting adhesion to the bituminous membrane thanks to the proprietary adhesion technology.
• On the other side, a release effect gives the film low adhesion properties, therefore preventing bitumen from sticking when rolled up and allowing easy unwinding.

Another innovation is the unusual thickness of the film, which is lower than conventional solutions, without compromising its performance.

The film melts as the bitumen is burnt with a torch, as illustrated below:

Torayfan® 8 F10 is available in 8µm and is suitable for various bituminous sealing membranes.
