BOARD LAMINATION
Board lamination, a technique long used in luxury packaging and spirits packaging, enables the protection of printed paper or cardboard against moisture or damage by laminating filmic substrates on top. Nowadays, polyester film provides an ideal alternative to the traditionally used OPP and acetate board lamination films, due to its superior mechanical properties, scratch resistance and brighter appearance.
APPLICATION
Malt whisky, cognac and other spirits packaging are brought to life by Toray’s clear, gold and silver polyester films, which also create stunning luxury packaging for perfumes, cosmetics, chocolates and other top quality products. Board lamination can also be used for platters for salmon or sausages; images on bookcovers, stationery and leaflets; and labels.
