Toray’s barrier against mineral oils
Demand for recycled packaging is ever increasing. But after migration scandals revealing the presence of mineral oils in food (mutagenic & carcinogenic), the market requests a strong regulation concerning food safety with a strong commitment from all the actors to minimize actively the food contamination with MOSH and MOAH.
Toray Films Europe has then expanded its Claryl® and Lumirror® PET range to improve food safety with MOSH MOAH barrier. Toray has driven a study with external laboratory on its Lumirror® & Claryl® range to guarantee the effectiveness of its functional barrier even with the thinner gauges, allowing an optimal solution using a minimum of material.
